Here’s what Caterina Moda, Diana Di Poce and Meredith Shaw had to say about their monthly outfit selection. Style tips included!
Diana Di Poce
My style story is all about finding versatility and functionality in fashion. I’m constantly on the lookout for pieces that are equal parts stylish and comfortable that will take me from my 9-to-5 chapter and beyond. Discovering new ways to wear the same pieces keeps my look fresh and ensures that I get the most wear out of my wardrobe as possible!
When building your workwear wardrobe, start with a strong foundation of staples: a great-fitting blazer or jacket, a variety of tanks, camisoles and blouses (both prints and solids), and classic bottoms. Search for styles that can easily mix-and-match to get the most bang for your buck. That blazer you love? Wear it three times this week! Pair it with a white blouse and pencil skirt for a meeting on Monday, wear it as a topper over a printed tank and a pair of denim for casual Friday, and belt it over a dress for date night on Saturday.
Here, I’ve built my look around this printed tank. The dotted pattern immediately caught my eye, while the relaxed fit exuded comfort. Bonus: the ruched straps are wide enough to hide your bra straps! From there, I opted for this super soft ankle pant—my new workwear fave! Its stretch fabric and elastic waistband offer the perfect fit. To complete the look, I’ve topped it with this lightweight jacket. Rain or shine, this parka will become your spring go-to. The drawstring waistband highlights your curves and pockets are always a plus! Dress this outfit up or down with accessories—keep it casual with a cross-body bag and flats, or add a dash of glam with statement pumps and a clutch.
What I love most about this look is its versatility. Each piece can be worn separately, no matter what the occasion. Don’t be afraid to mix-and-match! The options are endless.

Even though my wardrobe is full of casual clothing there are a few things I need to turn my errand outfit into a date night ensemble. Here are a few things to consider having in your closet.
- Clutch/Purse: Having a few different clutches that you can mix and match with your pieces will turn an outfit from day to night. In my closet I have a black, sequence and bright coloured clutch. It will surely spice up your outfit!
- Costume jewelry: This is something that I am constantly replenishing. I have chokers, long/short necklaces, big rings, bangles and bracelets and of course earrings! (Hoops are my favourite!) This can be an inexpensive way to change your looks and feel glam when wearing casual pieces.
- Shoes!! : Footwear can change the feel of your outfit in an instant. I must confess I have a lot of shoes, some I have worn some are still in their original boxes. The reason for this is I keep going back to specific pairs that go with every outfit. My suggestion is to have a black and nude pair in flats, heels and sandals….and a few fun and colourful ones too.

Rain jackets are a wardrobe staple for any smart trend-setter. As the temperature begins to get warmer, rainy weather is inevitable but don’t let your style suffer…a cute rain coat can take your day from grey to YAY!
In this look, I paired a printed ankle pant with an olive coloured t-shirt. The relaxed fit of this tee is what makes it to die for! Not only does it feel great against your skin but it’s cut allows you to wear it in a number of different ways: untucked, tied in a knot, the half tuck or, like I’ve done here, the FULL tuck. Don’t be intimidated to tuck your t-shirts in – when you do, you show off that cute curvy shape and the topper of the coat gives you some added coverage.
Prints? Yes, please! The solid colour of the coat and the tee make them versatile pieces in your wardrobe but they are screaming to be paired with a pattern. I chose to do that with a sophisticated ankle pant in an all over print to complete the look. Yes, you can have pants that are both comfortable AND stylish. Halllleluja! The shorter length is a nice update for the spring because it gives you the option to show off cute heels or flats. An added bonus is that you can pair this pant with practically any structured top to take your outfit to and from the office or throw them on with a denim jacket to keep it casual for brunch on the weekend.
