If you were to look in my closet, (you did get a little peek back in March), you would see that it is predominantly dresses. I live in dresses. To the point that people usually comment when they see me in pants. It is the one thing that I get asked about the most. Many women talk to me about their desire to wear dresses, but they simply feel more comfortable in pants. I once was in that same boat. I believe there are two types of comfort: physical and emotional. Once upon a time, I was not emotionally comfortable showing any excess of skin, but as I began deciding to dress not only how I wanted to look, but in a way in which I was physically comfortable, I found myself wearing more and more dresses.
Dresses are so easy to toss on and go. I find they take less effort to style in the morning, but they always look put together. Depending upon which accessories and shoes you style with each dress, you can be ready for any occasion, and take on any day. This is how I wear my dresses.

Going out is always so much fun, and as someone who loves colour, I love finding the perfect dress that pops against all the LBDs. This dress not only is such a beautiful colour, but I love the texture of the lace. The cinched waist is my go-to look, I love the vintage 50s feel of the fit and flare. I would wear this dress out for dinner to a nice restaurant, drinks with the girls, or on a date. I love that this dress comes in other colours too, so if you want to go the little black dress route you have that option, and there is a beautiful vibrant Azalea pink.

Swing dresses are silhouettes that I know many plus size women are apprehensive to try, and I have been guilty of that in the past. There are “so-called” universal styling tips that go around, claiming that everyone should cinch their waist for the “most flattering” look. Although this works for some body types, it doesn’t always, and even if it does, I personally never like feeling restricted to one silhouette. Although as I mentioned I do love the fit-and-flare, this swing dress is not only so beautiful on and fits wonderfully in all the right places, but it so versatile for where and how you can wear it. I love the idea of wearing it with a jacket or a blazer for work, which you can then take off if you are heading out straight after work. Also it has pockets…

Maxi dresses are the ultimate weekend look. No matter what you have going on this weekend a maxi dress will have you covered by a quick change of a few accessories. I will wear this look to meet up with the girls for brunch, then off to do some errands, and I can toss on a sweater for dinner. But this floral print makes this dress perfect for a day by the beach, to pack for vacation, or even when worn with a pair of heels, can be a beautiful piece to wear to a wedding.
