“Summer time in Calgary is chuck-full of events and activities for everyone from families to the party animal within us all! Of all these summer events, nothing brings out this city’s unstoppable energy like the Calgary Stampede. This ten-day long ode to western heritage and community spirit is the quintessential Calgary festival, and is one that I love putting looks together for. The Calgary Stampede allows me to tap into a genre of fashion that I rarely get to play with during any other time of the year. This year, I decided to play up the gypsy side of country style. I paired this gorgeous Melissa McCarthy peasant cold-shoulder dress with a denim vest that is basically the Calgary Stampede uniform. To finish off this look, I added a pair of cowboy booties and a cowboy hat making me Stampede-chic and ready to watch the chuck wagon races in style! Want to transition this look from day to night? I would switch out the denim vest for a western-style belt and black chunky heeled sandal! Alongside a fringed clutch and bold lippie, you’d be ready to attend the numerous Stampede nighttime concerts and parties, country style!”

“This summer I have found the event of all our dreams, and it comes with a very specific dress code. What a better way to spend to spend a Saturday afternoon than sipping on Rosé, nibbling on delicious food pairings, and dressed up in pink at Toronto’s first Rosé Picnic! If you follow my blog, Latest Wrinkle, you may already know just how obsessed I am with all things pink, and it just so happens to fall into the category of what I love to drink as well! So to get ready for this perfectly pink event, I have picked my favourite. Penningtons sleeveless lace dress to coordinate with all the wine I will be sipping that day. I love the changing lace patterns throughout the dress, creating a unique visual feel from top to bottom, and the length not only works with wedges, but flats—which just happen to be perfect footwear for a picnic. (No one wants to be that girl getting her heels stuck in the grass between the blankets). I cannot wait to be all dressed up in my best pink for this event, and if you are in the Toronto area, I hope to see you there!”

“From food festivals to concerts, Montreal summers are full of exciting events. Of all the summer events, my favorite is by far OSHEAGA!!! This ultra-popular music festival is the event of the summer. It’s basically our version of Coachella! Although it’s primarily a music festival, fashion and personal style definitely take center stage. From bloggers to music lovers, everyone will be ready to strike a pose! This year, I’m very drawn to the whole boho-chic style so I naturally put together a very bohemian inspired look. I plan on pairing this fabulous maxi dress from the MBLM by Tess Holliday collection with some flat sandals to keep me comfy and on my feet all day long. The flowy fabric, tie dye print and off-the-shoulder design is a perfect mix of romance and hippy. To beat the heat and avoid sun exposure, I’ll be sporting this cute hat. To finish off the look, I plan on rocking some layered necklaces and charm bracelets. And, voilà, I’m officially ready for Osheaga!”
