I don’t know about you but when I’m told I can’t do something, it only makes me want to do it more. So whether it is in business or fashion, my goal is to prove ‘them’ wrong. More importantly I like to prove to myself that I can do anything I want and ain’t nothing going to hold me back! When it comes to pretty much everything in life – I want the very best and I won’t compromise!
As women we are often told we can’t wear certain outfits, and especially for plus-size women, society has thrown a lot of restrictions our way when it comes to fashion. This spring is all about the chino. The menswear inspired trend is in and I’m here to show you how to wear it. It’s really simple to take one staple piece just like the Chino capri’s in white and style them a few different ways.
The chino is great for a workday look at the office. I chose to pair them with a collared shirt which is actually very versatile – tie it at the front for a cute look or just wear it buttoned up. I paired this with a great little flat and I’m ready to go for the day.
I can then take the chino and make a really cute and sassy date night outfit or wear it out for a night out on the town with the girls. I paired this boy borrowed trend with a little black cami and sexy heels to take it from menswear to womenswear.
These pants are so versatile you can even wear them casually on the weekend with a bright tee and some cute runners. It’s the perfect look to get ready to take on a relaxing weekend.
So often we think fashion has to fit everyone else’s ideas of what we need to wear or look like, which makes us overthink it. All you need is a core piece like a versatile pant that goes with any look and still looks chic. When we can go into the day without compromising on our style, we feel liberated, strong and ready to take on the world!
