I had my first introduction to Melissa McCarthy when I saw the movie “Bridesmaids” on opening week. (No, *gasp* I had never watched Gilmore Girls, and hadn’t heard of Mike & Molly yet.)
I still remember it, because… Well, 2011 wasn’t really that long ago, and also because it’s honestly one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen!!! I mean, that bridal shop scene!? I literally laughed till I cried!!!
Although I loved the entire cast, Melissa definitely stood out and made that movie unforgettable. Some were critical of the role she played, but I saw her character as confident, strong, and unbothered by societal norms. It was a breath of fresh air!
Fast forward to 2015, and she’s still leaving her mark, now with the launch of her clothing line “Seven7,” available in Canada, exclusively at Penningtons.
I got my first taste of it when I had the pleasure of appearing on Breakfast Television Montreal, modelling the skinny Ponte de Roma pant, pleated blouse, and of course, the show stopping reversible floral kimono.
I was immediately impressed by the quality and weightiness of the fabrics, as well as the lovely textures in each piece, so I headed to Penningtons and picked out a few more items!
So, If you love Melissa McCarthy’s signature style (and yes, she really wears her own designs), if you love rich textures, attention to detail, and you want to add a little super-wearable luxury to your wardrobe, head over to Penningtons to take a peek for yourself! I cannot recommend this line more highly, and I know it will not disappoint!!!
