We love any good excuse to dress up and for Valentine’s day, we’re bringing glamour to the tips of our fingers with a gorgeous Valentine’s manicure! Check out some of the looks we’re loving right now!
Valentine’s Manicure: Matte Red
Red is always a great pick for Valentine’s day and adding a matte topcoat takes this look from classic to avant-garde! Make sure to let the red dry thoroughly before applying a matte topcoat, any imperfections in the polish will be magnified when you take away the shine.
Valentine’s Manicure: Rose Gold Sparkles
While red is the classic colour for Valentine’s day, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. If you like to sizzle with subtlety, try a trendy rose-gold mani! Prep your nails with a clear or nude coat of polish and once that’s dry, dab–don’t brush–the glitter polish on. Dabbing, instead of sweeping on coats as you normally would, allows you to deposit more glitter, which gives a great disc-ball like effect. Make sure to give this look lots of time to dry though, as the coats of polish tend to be very thick.
Valentine’s Manicure: Mix and Match
A great way to show your unique side, the mix and match mani is perfect for showing off your quirky side. Make sure to pick colours that pair well together, and try to stick to one accent nail only or pick designs in the same colour family, like the image below.
Valentine’s Manicure: Dare to Bare
Nude nails are a great way to compliment a natural look but still feel polished . Pay extra attention to your cuticles with this mani as this minimal look brings focus to your fingertips.
Valentine’s Manicure: Beautiful Burgundy
There’s no denying that this Spring, burgundy is here to give the always-in-style vibrant red a run for it’s money. A Burgundy mani is a great way to try out this trendy shade, just make sure to prep with a base coat as dark colours like these can stain your nails and turn them yellow.
